Parker's weekend lineup: Fright Night, symphonic drama and two pumpkin-patch picks

Parker's weekend lineup: Fright Night, symphonic drama and two pumpkin-patch picks

Sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s set up a packed Oct. 9-11 weekend around Parker.

Parker gets one more warm-weather weekend before fall feels more like fall. The forecast stays dry, the Halloween events are ramping up and there are options for a concert night, a low-cost pumpkin run or a full-day farm outing.

First, the weather

The National Weather Service expects a high near 84 Friday, 82 Saturday and 81 Sunday. Saturday should be sunny; Sunday turns partly sunny. South winds could gust to 21 mph Saturday and 25 mph Sunday, so secure anything light at an outdoor setup.

Friday night: let the orchestra bring the drama

The Parker Symphony Orchestra performs Myths and Legends at 7:30 p.m. at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Ave. The all-ages program moves from the William Tell Overture and Danse Macabre to Les Preludes and Pictures at an Exhibition. Tickets are listed at $32 and $36.

Best for: A date night or a family outing that does not depend on the weather.
